Since its inception, ECDO has been conducting and implementing various research and publication programs on the lifestyles and problems of indigenous people. In 2006, ECDO published ‘State of the Rural Manipuris in Bangladesh’ a research book on Bangladeshi Manipuri indigenous people. Besides, ECDO has been involved in publishing ‘Annual Review of Ethnic Affairs’ a research related international publication on indigenous people with bearing ISSN 1999-964X since 2005. From 2005 to 2014, total 8 volume of this journal has been published where many prominent scholars on indigenous issues submitted their writings for this journal. ECDO has also published various health awareness leaflets, flyers, posters etc. in different indigenous languages like; Khasi, Patro, Manipuri. This initiative has been acclaimed from various stakeholders and community people as innovative idea that have not been adopted by any development sector at that time. In addition, ECDO has another publication ‘Adibasi Barta’ as a newsletter to highlight its activities.
