Post COVID-19 Coordination Meeting with the Community Teachers
On 4th October, 2021, a coordination meeting was held at ECDO’s office with all its staff and teachers of Education support for Marginalized children and Promoting Manipuri Language (ESMCPML) Project. The aim of this meeting was to discuss about the ways of solving different issues that arose after reopening schools and the necessity of taking various measures to update the teaching process in such pandemic situation. The meeting was presided over by Lakshmikanta Singh, the Executive Director of ECDO. The following topics were discussed at the meeting:
- The number of students at ESC and MLC has increased significantly due to COVID-19 situation. Though all educational institutions were closed in our country for about one and half years, ESCs and MLCs were opened until the government declared full lockdown around the country. In this situation, many children were attended at our ESCs and MLCs for getting education support. The teachers were advised to teach all students with full care and support.
- Since Corona virus has yet not disappeared, only its infection rate has come down a little bit, so teachers are directed to conduct the classes in accordance with the proper guidelines of health care of COVID-19. Wearing a face mask in class is mandatory for both teachers and students.
- Teachers are instructed to behave more cordially with the children and increase the class hour as per the requirement.
- Each teacher will set their own lesson plan for their classes considering the post COVID-19 situation and guide and teach the children accordingly.
- Teachers should arrange Center Management committee meeting and guardian meeting as per as project plan and adopt measures according to their opinions.
- Teachers are instructed to give proper care so that no students’ education could be hampered for the shortages of any kind of education materials.
