Celebration of Victory Day with ESC and MLC Students
Bangladesh celebrated its 50th anniversary of Victory on Thursday, 16th December. This year, Victory day associates with the centenary of the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of the country’s independence. Different programs were organized across the country to celebrate this special day. On the occasion of this Victory Day, ECDO organized a cultural program with the active participation of students, guardians and teachers of our Education support center (ESC) and Manipuri Language center (MLC). After uplifting the national flag of Bangladesh, the celebration was started with the national anthem sung by the students.
On the occasion of this event, all of our centers were decorated colorful with balloons, festoons and colorful papers. Teachers, students and guardians attended this program with decent dresses. In the presence of the president and members of center management committee, the students took part in various cultural events. Moreover, at Alaibahar and Lackatoorah ESC, an art competition was held with the participation of our ESC children. And the theme of that art competition was ‘liberation war of Bangladesh’. Students were divided in two groups based on their class wise. Three best art works were selected as first, second and third and prizes were awarded among that selected participants. In addition, cultural program, different outdoor games were also organized at Doldoli ESC.
The guardians were very pleased as their children enjoyed the day with various recreational events. The guests present at that program thanked to Ethnic Community Development Organization (ECDO) for celebrating the Victory day with the children, who will lead the country in future. They said that such event will help to create patriotism among the children and they will know the history of Bangladesh. Moreover, the students will also know the significance of the liberation war, which will create responsible to them to protect the dignity of the Victory day of Bangladesh. At the end of the program some snacks were distributed among the students and guardians.
